E308/308L-16
Alloy 308L-16 is a low carbon electrode used to weld Types 304L and 347. The weld deposit contains a maximum of .04% carbon, which minimizes the formation of chromium carbides, and consequent susceptibility to intergranular corrosion. The weld deposit, with controlled ferrite, gives excellent notch toughness at -320°F (-196°C).
